Nobody had done anything to the banks, and the fences behind the homes were a few months from going into the lake. There was no access to the water, and the usual repair would have torn up every backyard on the lake. We rebuilt about 6,600 feet of shoreline. The residents kept their lawns and the fences stayed standing.
